Synesthetic is a comic book anthology featuring twenty creators from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The word "synestetic" means attributing one sensory input to another: hearing colors, seeing sounds, smelling touches. Comics as an art form do this fundamentally. When you pick up a comic your mind interprets what that car horn sounds like, how long that character sits on a park bench, and how big that room really is. Synesthetic wants to play with these ideas in a loose and enjoyable way. It gives the artists involved the opportunity to tell any story they like, so long as somewhere within they give a nod to the overall theme of Synesthetic. We want to make our readers hear things that aren't there, see depth that is unreal, and feel time pass in a whole new way.
